Get ready to witness an unforgettable performance as Whitechapel takes over the Ronnie James Dio Stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2024! On Saturday, August 10th, the Knoxville deathcore legends delivered a full set that was nothing short of spectacular. Known for their brutal sound, visceral live shows, and boundary-pushing musicianship, Whitechapel brought their A-game to one of the UK’s largest metal festivals, treating fans to a set packed with raw energy and emotion.
Formed in 2006, Whitechapel has consistently evolved, blending elements of deathcore, death metal, and progressive metal into their sound. Their Bloodstock 2024 set was a testament to their growth, featuring both classic tracks and newer material from their most recent album, sending the crowd into a frenzy. The band unleashed a relentless barrage of heavy riffs, crushing breakdowns, and Phil Bozeman’s monstrous vocals, perfectly complementing the festival’s intense atmosphere.
🎸 Performance Highlights: Whitechapel’s setlist spanned the band’s impressive discography. Crowd-favorite “Let Me Burn” opened the set, firing up the audience instantly. Emotional tracks like “Brimstone” showed the band’s more melodic and introspective side, creating a hauntingly beautiful contrast to their heavier songs like “A Bloodsoaked Symphony” and “Possession.” Each song was met with roaring approval from the audience, who headbanged, moshed, and screamed along to every note. The ferocity of the performance reached its peak with a spine-chilling delivery of “Doom Woods,” a track that embodies the darker, atmospheric elements of their latest work.
🛠 Staging and Visuals: The performance was enhanced by epic stage visuals that mirrored the ominous and powerful themes of their music. The band played under dim, moody lighting, with occasional bursts of flashing strobes that timed perfectly with the breakdowns, making every crushing note hit even harder. The Ronnie James Dio Stage at Bloodstock proved to be the perfect platform for Whitechapel’s heavy and aggressive sound, with an ocean of metalheads filling the grounds and absorbing every riff.
🎤 The Band’s Energy: Whitechapel’s frontman, Phil Bozeman, engaged the crowd throughout the performance, his guttural vocals cutting through the festival air. Between songs, the band took brief moments to express their gratitude for the fans and the festival, but for the most part, it was an all-out assault on the senses. Bozeman’s vocal delivery was chilling, alternating between deep growls and higher-pitched screams, perfectly suited for the intricate and punishing instrumentals delivered by the band’s three guitarists.
Fans new and old were treated to a masterclass in modern deathcore. Whitechapel’s set at Bloodstock 2024 is sure to go down in history as one of the most powerful performances of the weekend, leaving festival-goers and livestream viewers alike in awe of the band’s ferocity, precision, and relentless energy.

Thank the creator of the universe for WHITECHAPEL! tHANK YOU FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL SPECIMEN OF PAINFUL STrUGGLE AND BLISS !
I LOVE THRASH metal, death metal, hardcore, punk, and crossover.
Some of my favorites are the ORIGINAL SEPLTURA, Sodom, Slayer, DRI, Motorhead, Power Trip, Enforced, 200 Stab Wounds, Dust Bolt, Gama Bomb, Pantera, Dead Kennedys, The Damned L7 NOFX The Adolescents, D.I., Black Flag, Danzig, Type o Negative, Atreyu, Suicidal Tendencies, Suicide Angels, Exodis, Keator and many others..
Anyways my point is i like a lot of different types of metal and punk and ive seen all of the above bands live in gritty shitty clubs (im old birn in 1980 ) so im not a sound elitist or vocal snob (see 200 stan wounds ), but I CANNOT STAND THIS GUYS VOCALS!! He sounds like absolute garbage. The band sounds great but he literaly sucks hes iut of key, straining his diaphram, and essentially ruining his voice… Infact id go so far as to say his voice is done its shot.
I dont understand the fanning over him is it bots? He objectively sounds bad here i like the higher screeching he does but his deep vocals have no balls behind them. He has no energy. Its ao firced and the weird rap talking kn between growls is so.off
The best hard cord band period… HATEBREED 🔥🔥🔥
Well that was absolutely crushing ⚔️, savage set
Когда лайв звучит лучше чем их альбомы

Phil's lyrics are just amazing. Up there with Corey Taylor.
Best sounding live performance by Whitechapel on YouTube.
All the other live videos, the sound engineer used a potato.
YouTube: " Hey….let's put a bunch of ads on this show, and make sure every ad is in the middle of a song and disrupts the flow of the music with an ad for some shit you'll never buy, instead of putting ads for shit you won't buy in between songs".
YouTube's ad spam should be ILLEGAL!
Where the fuck is Householder ???
I LOVE WHITECHAPEL
My favorite part of Saw is the Law is when Phil goes "buh duh jubbah dubba dubba but duh."
Phil has impeccable anionisation
How lucky I am to have seen them in 2009 at a small venue during the This is Exile tour with Chimaira. Even got a photo with Phil. RIP The Beaumont Club KCMO.
