Back in July, Arch Enemy dropped their first new single in two years with “Dream Stealer” and I was all like “oh man, they should be announcing something any day now.” I didn’t know it would almost be three months later, but guess what — I was right. I mean, my prediction wasn’t rocket science, per se, but ya boi feels a little vindicated after the band announced their forthcoming album Blood Dynasty this morning.
Set to be their 13th full-length album and a follow up to their 2022 album Deceivers, this new slab of music features 11 tracks, including the aforementioned “Dream Stealer.” It will be available in multiple different versions and formats, but the best part about today’s announcement is the cover art. Check this shit out:
Tell me that doesn’t look badass, man. It looks so cool, I’m just really hoping beyond hope that it’s not AI. That’s the world we’re living in, after all. I would like to imagine this was painstakingly made by some crazy talented artist and they got paid pretty well for it.
Aside from that, founder and guitarist Michael Amott said Blood Dynasty seeks to push the band in a direction that they haven’t gone just yet.
“This new album pushes the boundaries of what we’ve done before — it’s everything you’ve come to expect from this band, and then some! We can’t wait for you to hear it and feel the energy we’ve poured into every track. Welcome to the Blood Dynasty!”
Blood Dynasty will be released on March 28 via Century Media, but you can preorder your copy today.
