For a long ass time, Canadian prog metal giant Devin Townsend has said he’d love to do more shows with choirs and orchestras and the like. He’s already done it with the Devin Townsend Project, mind you, but now his rock opera The Moth is set to hit the stage in the Netherlands this coming March.
News of the special performance featuring the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, which will take place on March 27 at the De Oosterpoort in Groningen, Netherlands, was posted online earlier today. According to a press release, the show will feature Townsend himself performing his “lifelong work” with the orchestra.
We’ve been covering The Moth for a loooong time now. If you aren’t aware, it’s a multi-million dollar symphony about dicks and pussies/cocks and muffs/dongs and hatchet wounds… Penises and vaginas. You get the drift.
It’s important to note that this performance seems like it will be a one-of-one, meaning it won’t be performed anywhere else in the world. So if you’re a fan of Townsend’s, you might want to start planning your trip now.
As previously reported, Townsend is also currently working on releasing his next solo album PowerNerd. That new slab of tunes will be released on October 25, but you can preorder your copy today.
