Grima releases “Skull Gatherers,” an atmospheric and haunting Black Metal track that conjures powerful imagery of inevitability, cold, and eternal slumber. This single tells the story of the Skull Gatherers, particularly devoted servants of Grima, who are dedicated to harvesting trophies from the bodies of the deceased and weaving them into an endless collection. Opening reminds me a lot of Agalloch, something you would have heard on The Mantle or Ashes Against The Grain. Monumentally great music on those albums, so this is a very high compliment

Grima caught me off guard a while ago, I was all "I'm not even into death/black metal" when I started to listen, and I noticed right away they're much more than that. There's this "please feel at home" feeling in their songs, and unlike other bands, they're not trying too hard to look dark and evil or anything.

I just discovered this band today. I'm in awe! This is absolutely fantastic! I always liked Russian bands. One of my favorite being Temnozor. Grima will now be part of my top favorite atmospheric black metal bands of all. The structures of the music, the arrangements and instrumentalisation is fantastic. The vocals are great as well. In top of that, the visual concept is beautiful, mysterious yet very intriguing. I will be adding this band to my collection. Hopefully their albums won't be too hard to find. The accordeon is a first for me. I hope they incorporate it more in the future. Great jobs guys. I'm a black metal listener since the 90's, I'm 45 years old and I didn't think I could still be inspired by bands anymore but Grima did it. Amazing!
