Founding guitarist and vocalist Trånn Ciekals of the Norwegian black metal band Djevel has died. News of Ciekals‘ death was broken by Djevel themselves on social media, who only noted his passing. Ciekals was one of Djevel‘s founders back in 2009, and performed with the group up until his death in 2025. We extend our condolences to Ciekals‘ friends and family at this time.
“It is with the deepest sorrow in our hearts we have to inform that our brother and mastermind of Djevel, Trånn Ciekals, is no longer among us,” wrote Djevel. “We need to process this now the next couple of days and our heartfelt condolences goes out to Trånn’s family and first and foremost his two kids.”
