Norwegian stoner metal band Kal-El is back with a new record Astral Voyager Vol. 1 due out May 16, and a perfectly spacey jam “B.T.D.S.C.” streaming right now. Because when the world’s got you down, where better to go than an astral voyage jam packed with riffs? It certainly helps that the music video by prettynoose888 conveys exactly that.
“We are proud and somewhat scared to reveal that we are indeed releasing TWO albums this year and here is the first single ‘B.T.D.S.C.'” wrote Kal-El of the single. “The tune is a pure rocket-fueled fuzz-infected scandi-stoner hymn which we are pretty sure you’ll find infectious. Horns up!”
And yes – there’s a Vol. 2 coming as well! The band continued: “During a few months in the summer and fall of 2024, we recorded, mixed and mastered a bunch of new songs. In fact, so many songs that we had material for 2 full records. We are proud to say that Astral Voyager Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 will come your way during 2025. Both vinyls trimmed with fuzzed out heaviness.”
