AC/DC performing live at Apollo Theatre, Glasgow, Scotland, UK on April 30, 1978 during the early days of the Powerage tour.
Pro-shot clips AI upscaled, frame rate increased, and original audio (not the one from If You Want Blood album) enhanced.
The entire Glasgow concert was filmed but the complete footage has never been released. Eventually, “Riff Raff” and “Fling Thing/Rocker” segments were made available on the DVD AC/DC Family Jewels, released in 2005. Video footage was also used from the show on Family Jewels using the “Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation” studio version audio track promotional clip. Segments from the concert (the songs “Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation”, “Dog Eat Dog” and “Let There Be Rock”) were made available on the DVD Plug Me In, released in 2007. “Bad Boy Boogie” was included on the bonus disc on the three-disc edition of Plug Me In. This version was taken from the RAGE broadast.

❤
I remember hearing this incredible din coming out of neighbour's house – he was watching this gig on TV. In 1978 we had donny osmond, the partridge family and the jackson 5 – and then all fkn hell broke loose – AC/DC, Motorhead, the Sex Pistols. Music would never be the same again…
The Iconic voice of Bon Scott, EPIC..
The return of the Scots to Scotland.
The mighty Status Quo were voted the best band ever to play the Glasgow Apollo not DC!!!
Tuning in this live?
Always getting goosebumps when I'm watching this. Those were the times. Rock'n Roll can't get any better. This was the perfect band. 🎸🤟🏼
BON SCOTT 9 ENERO 1947
🤘🏻⚡❤️👍🏻
I was there. Unforgettable night.
Running man rip bon
❤
Epic.
They may have originated in Australia, but Angus, Malcolm and Bon were originally from Scotland, so… why not??
Hot, raw, visceral Rock N Roll. Simply unbeatable. Highly energetic, pure dynamite. Thank you very much for posting this gem.
Rock'n Roll quente, cru & visceral. Simplesmente insuperáveis. Altamente enérgicos, pura dinamite. Muito obrigado por postar esta pérola.

Incredible footage of the show from the PowerAge tour that became their first Live album. This was off the charts. There was never anything like it!! For us who were teenagers when this album dropped (78) this was, and still is, EPIC!
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
"It was the seventh day, I was the seventh son…" 🎉 Wow
June 7th, 1979, ag hall allentown, pa. Saw Bon and Angus …along with UFO. Started me playing guitar, but mom was mad when I didnt get home till real late. #rrockAndRoll #rokkittBass
The first time I heard Quiet Riots Metal Health(Bang Your Head) Angus Young entered my mind, now all these years later when I watch Angus in his prime, the memory of hearing bang your head for the first time and having Angus enter my mind is the first thing that enters my mind LoL 😂
Just Ultimate Music! Classic!!
This is the best performance, ever!! 1978! No wonder the best!
My opinion.
The Best ever! ACDC
Hell yeah!! AC/DC at it's best!! I got the Highway to hell album and Rush's 2112 at the same time and I was hooked. RIP Bon Scott.
I still think Bon Scott wrote Back in Black!!
When rock gods walked the earth. Fantastic stuff.
BORN to be fuckin burnin ROCK n ROLL BEASTS ! YEAH !
Ihrer Seelen wird man sich im Elysium erinnern.
This really was peak ac dc incredible
I'm a little older now and it's slow down some relaxing country but I believe AC DC was the best band ever in rock and roll there's a difference of a good bands out there don't get me wrong but I believe back in their ages they were the top band I need guitar players did not stop
AC/DC without Bon means nothing. Yeah they made a load of money later but so what. Never the same. RIP Bon
Phil, Cliff & Mal coming out of the Angus’ guitar break on Bad boy Boogie is as good as you’ll ever hear, Cliff bass is like rolling thunder. Fucking incredible!!
This is the zenith of AC/DC
One word in the best possible way: Erratic 🤘 this is unbelievable good. Nothing like it has ever existed 🤘 it so perfect, not one note to much or less. Every passage is crafted like a Samurai sword. Pure greatness. Pure rock’n rolla. 🤘
We still unfortunately don't have the real version of Whole Lotta Rosie from this concert :/
Angus is the best damn showman of all time!
Glasgow Apollo gig,,credited as being one of there finest nights,,Apollo no longer there,,replaced by a cinema complex,,where the front entrance is were stage was located
As a teenager in the 80s, this live album crackled with electricity..to this day it makes my hair stand up like lightning is about to strike. It is history as much as any event or recording by any band ever.
Wow!
And I bet that young Boy at 34:19 who got to stand with Angus while he played in the Royalty Box was over the Moon, that young boy now if still alive will be in his 50's now and look back at this and think aww man those were the days! 😃👍
The bands best era they were the headliner killers .. Mal Phil and Cliff are a lethal rythm section
you can watch all rock bands but always come back to this epic im 68 and saw them in 1978 on this tour never ever forgotten
