The series of events that led to beloved Illinois-based deathcore act Oceano to call it quits have been well documented on this site, but to everyone who missed it, here’s the “previously on” section of this soap opera. It basically started when Oceano was announced as part of a controversial tour called the “American Rejects Tour” with Attila, Dealer, and Nathan James. But, between Attila and Dealer, there were a sum total of three people on the tour who had faced allegations of sexual misconduct in the band. Oceano, being one of the few acts on the tour that anyone respected, caught a lot of flack online for being on the tour and eventually they not only dropped off, but frontman Adam Warren basically said that he would be exiting Oceano amidst all the controversy. That kind of morphed into Oceano just calling it quits, with a farewell tour promised for the near future. Well, the near future is finally here.
Yesterday, Oceano announced their upcoming farewell tour, which pretty much just hits the midwest of the United States and that’s it. Coming along on the tour will be I Declare War, See You Next Tuesday, Filth, and Backbiter. Tickets are already on sale at OceanoFarewell.com. Check out the full list of dates below.
