Legendary thrash metal titans SLAYER are teasing an upcoming announcement about shows in England and Wales. Earlier today, the band shared a video featuring their famous eagle logo along the flags of Wales and England.
SLAYER is already scheduled to perform at BLACK SABBATH and Ozzy Osbourne’s final show at Villa Park in Birmingham. With this historic event on the calendar, it is highly likely that these dates could align with this monumental farewell.
Just yesterday, SLAYER announced their first Canadian performance in six years. On July 11, 2025, SLAYER will unleash their fury at Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) in Quebec City.
Last fall, SLAYER performed reunion shows at Riot Fest in Chicago and Aftershock in Sacramento (October 10, 2024). Their scheduled performance at Louder Than Life in Louisville was cancelled due to severe weather.
SLAYER is set to perform at the 2025 Louder Than Life festival, happening September 18-21 at the Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville, Kentucky. Additionally, the band will take the stage at BLACK SABBATH‘s final concert on July 5 at Villa Park stadium in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
In a last year’s interview with Australia’s Metal Roos, guitarist Kerry King discussed SLAYER‘s future plans following the band’s return to the stage with two festival performances in September and October after a five-year hiatus.
He said at the time: “We’re never gonna tour again. We’re never gonna make a record again. Mark my word: we’re never gonna make a record again, we’re never gonna tour again. Because that was the last thing. We said [back in 2018], ‘This is our final tour.’ It took five years for us to come and say, ‘Hey, here’s a couple of shows, five-year anniversary.’”
