Artist: Have A Nice Life
Album: Deathconsciousness
Lyrics:
what has become of all of us, all ceilings, all skies
is that, the stars can swim a thousand dark miles
before they ever see the floor again
with their backs against the wall on these last days
but then, we knew that would happen anyway
you drop that pitch-black pall
over us, one and all, again
to propel your national machines
giving us all the disease, but not the vaccine
a thousand tiny lives
disappear into the black depths
I guess I thought I’d feel something but I didn’t
yes, that’s a myth
I would give anything
for a cool glass of water
without this poisonous oil
no
it’s never going to be good enough
there’s no air anywhere
it’s all money now
wouldn’t you do the same?

For two weeks I'm waiting for my parcel containing the newest records of Nightbringer, Dødsengel, Fides Inversa and The Ruins of Beverast. But as a huge post-punk fan I can sweeten my waiting time by listening to this.
This song feels like such a Buffalo Bill mood
Fuck.
Title 10/10
Não consigo enjoar nunca
What has become of all of us, all ceilings, all skies
Is that, the stars can swim a thousand dark miles
Before they ever see the floor again
With their backs against the wall on these last days
But then, we knew that would happen anyway
You drop that pitch-black pall
Over us, one and all, again
To propel your national machines
Giving us all the disease, but not the vaccine
A thousand tiny lives
Disappear into the black stretch
I guess I thought I'd feel something but I didn't
But I didn't, yes, that's a myth
With their backs against the wall on these last days
But then, we knew that would happen anyway
You drop that pitch-black pall
Over us, one and all, again
To propel your national machines
Giving us all the disease, but not the vaccine

This song was playing in a dream I had that was set in the fallout 4 world since ive been playing that game a lot lately.. I was being chased in the woods by giant creatures and crazy people . this song should be used in a horror movie
What is this song about? I guess it's about the disappointment about the black metal scene starting as something unique and then becoming commercial?

The drums that sort of eventually "emerge" and disturb the monotony of the background droning sound after the first minute is something to behold. And the effect is most pronounced when you play it out really loud. What a start to the second half of the album.
A THOUSAND TINY LIVES
Amazing.
I don’t get what the lyrics have to do with waiting for black metal records to come in the mail.

"You drop that pitch-black pall
Over us, one and all, again
To propel your national machines
Giving us all the disease, but not the vaccine"
Perfectly describes the republican machine of lies and propaganda currently taking over America in 2025, as well as the disease outbreaks that'll likely soon take countless innocent lives
Great song to mourn your country to fr, I miss when life here made sense
