GLENN DANZIG Faces Backlash For Nazi Symbol On Tour Merchandise

Glenn Danzig is facing intense criticism from fans after a controversial merchandise design surfaced at his recent concert. During his March 29 performance at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, the punk and metal icon was selling a shirt and poster featuring what appears to be the Black Sun symbol—a design historically associated with Nazi Germany and later adopted by neo-Nazi and other far-right extremist groups.

Outraged fans quickly took to social media to express their disappointment, with many calling for an explanation or apology. One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “What the f**k is this, Glen @RealDanzig? This was designed by the f**king Nazis, so don’t try to hide behind ‘it’s an ancient symbol they co-opted and I’m taking it back.’ This is flatly Nazi s**t.

The Black Sun, or “Schwarze Sonne,” was originally incorporated into Nazi occult imagery and has since been co-opted by white supremacist movements worldwide. It has been prominently displayed in extremist propaganda and was even referenced by the perpetrator of the 2019 Christchurch mosque shootings.

It remains to be seen whether Danzig will address the controversy or if the offending items will be removed from sale.
