SLAYER appears to be planning a Philadelphia show soon, as indicated by a recent video featuring an animated Hershey’s Kisses reference shared by the band and Live Nation Philadelphia.
Announced last month, SLAYER has added two headlining UK shows to their trip, initially planned for Black Sabbath’s final UK performance, “Back To The Beginning,” in July. They will now also play Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields on July 3rd and London’s Finsbury Park on July 6th, with a strong supporting lineup featuring AMON AMARTH, ANTHRAX, MASTODON, HATEBREED, and NECKBREAKKER.
SLAYER‘s announced dates for 2025 so far are as follows:
AMON AMARTH, ANTHRAX, MASTODON, HATEBREED and NECKBREAKKER:
July 3, 2025 – Cardiff, UK – Blackweir Fields
July 6, 2025 – London, UK – Finsbury Park
With BLACK SABBATH:
July 5, 2025 – Birmingham, UK – Villa Park
North America festival dates:
July 11, 2025 – Quebec City, QC – Festival d’été de Québec
September 18, 2025 – Louisville, KY – Louder Than Life Festival
In a last year’s interview with Australia’s Metal Roos, guitarist Kerry King discussed SLAYER‘s future plans following the band’s return to the stage with two festival performances in September and October after a five-year hiatus.
He said at the time: “We’re never gonna tour again. We’re never gonna make a record again. Mark my word: we’re never gonna make a record again, we’re never gonna tour again. Because that was the last thing. We said [back in 2018], ‘This is our final tour.’ It took five years for us to come and say, ‘Hey, here’s a couple of shows, five-year anniversary.’”
