CATEGORY 7 Announce Live Debut Show In Los Angeles

Category 7, the recently formed hard rock/heavy metal supergroup – which Metallica‘s James Hetfield praised as a killer music discovery – has announced their live debut show, which will go down at The Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles, CA on June 30. Evildead is confirmed as support, with more bands to be announced.

The show will serve as a warm-up for the collective, which recently announced a handful of South America tour dates for July.

The VIP package for the night — which you can score here starting this Friday — will include a t-shirt, a laminate, a photo with the band, and the opportunity to get items signed, whether brought or purchased at the venue.

Category 7 features the iconic voice of John Bush (Armored SaintAnthrax), the ferocious guitar duo of Phil Demmel (Kerry King, ex-Machine Head,  ex-Vio-Lence) & Mike Orlando (Adrenaline MobCorey Glover‘s Sonic Universe), the thunderous bass lines of Jack Gibson (Exodus), and the inhuman drumming of stickman extraordinaire Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, ex-Overkill).

“The stars have aligned and the initial C7 storm is about to hit Hollywood!” said Demmel. “To say we’ve been ready to get this rolling is an understatement. So, batten down those hatches, because Category 7 is coming to lay waste!!”

Category 7‘s touring plans thus far are:

6/30 The Whiskey A Go Go, Los Angeles, USA
7/3 Mar del Plata, Argentina
7/4 Buenos Aires, Argentina
7/5 Rosario, Argentina
7/6 Córdoba, Argentina
7/8 Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
7/10 Santiago, Chile
7/12 Sao Paulo, Brazil
9/12 TBA

The whole trek will be filmed, including the live shows and behind-the-scenes. Get your tickets here, and stay up to date with what’s happening in the Category 7 world here.

Category 7’s debut album was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Mike Orlando at Sonic Stomp Studios with art and layout by Carlos Fides at Artside Studio (AngraEvergreyKamelot). Stream or purchase the record at this location.
