Last month, Coheed and Cambria dropped their eleventh studio album The Father of Make Believe, out via Virgin. The record is the third instalment of their Amory Wars concept album series and features the single “Someone Who Can.” Today, the band have unveiled an acoustic library demo of its original release.
On Sunday, 13 April, Brooklyn Vegan shared that it was officially ‘Coheed and Cambria Day’. On which the band returned to their hometown of Nyack, New York, to play a short acoustic set at SpringFest Street Fair. Reflecting on the day, the band shared their gratitude:
“A truly full circle moment. Thanks to the entire Village of Nyack for coming out for a pretty emotional day, and to everyone who made April 13th possible, including Mayor Joe Rand, Tristan Dunnigan, Bill Batson, Mark Mangan, and so many more.”
Earlier this year, Coheed and Cambria announced an extensive tour around North America to coincide with the release of their latest album, The Father of Make Believe. In just a few weeks, the band will embark on The Infinite Arc tour alongside Mastodon, with Periphery as support.
The Father of Make Believe is out now on all streaming platforms. Listen here.
