Cancer Bats Launch GoFundMe After Gear and Merch Robbed in Indianapolis

In the words of Slipknot, people = shit. Last night, Canadian hardcore outfit Cancer Bats had their gear and merchandise robbed from their van and trailer following their show in Indianapolis. Although the group were able to retrieve the latter, they were sadly left with no gear or merch and now they’re trying to recoup those losses through a GoFundMe.

The news comes as a devastating detour to the band, who are currently on the road with He Is Legend for their I Am Hollyweird Tour Pt. 2 run. Due to the incident, Cancer Bats had to pull their show at Red Flags in St. Louis.

The band shared a statement online:

“All our gear and merch was stolen last night!! It’s a major bummer. We unfortunately have to cancel our show at @redflagstlvenue tonight due to our van being totally fucked by the fucks that robbed us. But we should be back in action for Tuesdays show in Madison Wi!

“We will post pictures and Info about the stolen gear soon. So peeps in the Indiana area please keep an eye out. We had some cool shit!!”

Following the incident, the group launched a GoFundMe to help pay for their replacement equipment. The band shared online:

“Getting robbed sucks. And asking for money kinda sucks too when there’s so many people out there in way worse situations than we are, but we’re in a bit of a pickle and want to keep on rocking and rolling!! Anything that comes in above what we absolutely need will be donated to get kids in remote northern communities in Canada musical instruments so they can start rocking and rolling!!Thanks for the huge out pouring of love already!!! We’re feeling it big time!!!”
