BRUCE DICKINSON Has A Ton Of Material Ready For Another Solo Album

Hey, remember when we had to wait 19 years between Bruce Dickinson‘s 2005 solo album Tyranny Of Souls and 2024 effort The Mandrake Project? Turns out we won’t have to wait that long again. In an interview with Musicians Institute’s MI Conversation Series, Dickinson said he’s got 18 songs demoed and ready for whatever comes next.

“I’ve just been in the demo studio with everybody for the last three weeks, and we ended up with 18 tracks in 15 days… It’s gonna be a really cool album. And, obviously, the guy that’s producing it, Brendan Duffey, he mixed Mandrake. We started off with him doing the Atmos mixes and then kind of morphed into, ‘I take it you do stereo as well.’ And he’s great. So, we are just keeping the same crew on this record. And [I’m] looking to record it next year, early next year. I’ve got some gaps. January, February, March, April is kind of free zone for me next year.”

Dickinson recently announced his first extensive North American solo tour in almost 30 years starting on August 22. The tour is in support of his current studio album The Mandrake Project, and will feature his 2024 touring line up featuring Philip Naslund and Chris DeClercq on guitars, Dave Moreno on drums, Mistheria on keyboards and Tanya O’Callaghan on bass.
