After a hiatus of over five years, David Lee Roth, the iconic frontman of VAN HALEN, returned to the stage for a complete solo performance on Saturday night (May 3). His comeback show took place at the 2025 M3 Rock Festival, held at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

Back on May 3, 2022, at Henson Recording Studio in Hollywood, California, David Lee Roth, accompanied by Al Estrada (guitar), Ryan Wheeler (bass), and Francis Valentino (drums), recorded solo versions of several VAN HALEN classics. This prolific two-hour session yielded 14 live-tracked songs, including iconic tunes like “Jump,” “Unchained,” “Everybody Wants Some!!,” “You Really Got Me,” “Dance The Night Away,” “Panama,” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love.” Notably, the recordings were done without samples or Auto-Tune.
