AC/DC performing live at Castle Donington, Donington, England, on Saturday, August 17, 1991, during the Monsters of Rock Festival leg of The Razor’s Edge Tour.
Live at Donington is the DVD recording of the Australian rock band AC/DC‘s show at Donington Park on 17 August 1991, and it was the band’s third Monsters of Rock festival. The two-hour show was performed before 72,500 spectators and included real cannons, the Hells Bell, an inflatable Rosie and an inflatable Angus. It was filmed in 35 mm Panavision and had 26 cameras that included one situated inside a helicopter.

1 – Thunderstruck (VHS was the right choice)
2 – Shoot To Thrill (Perfect mix with the Brian breakdown bit)
3 – Back In Black (Technically, the guitar tones you hear in the chorus are the original guitar tone and the main riff is overdub. You can hear it in STT as well. The intro has the original tone and then switches to the overdub)
4 – HAABPTB (VHS right choice)
5 – Heatseeker (Angus's rhythm track is overdubbed for the intro and switches over after Brian says "Here we go" to raw audio the rest of the time. Everything else is raw audio)
6 – Fire Your Guns (perfect needs no explanation. If only Brians voice wasn't overdubbed after the 2nd verse)
7 – Jailbreak (The DVD version actually has an overdubbed solo before the breakdown and the VHS version has the original. Also Mal is overdubbed for a lot of this track too, like the intro and some of the breakdown)
8 – The Jack (right choice)
9 – Dirty Deeds (Backtracks is the right choice, but like most of Donington Angus's rhythm track is an overdub)
10 – Moneytalks (DVD and VHS have same audio basically except DVD has a snip of Angus's raw audio during the last 10 seconds so technically DVD would have been a better choice)
11 – Hells Bells (Perfect although the entire 2nd verse is overdubbed on Brian)
12 – High Voltage (Brian singing "High" during the breakdown is overdubbed on DVD version on the last few of each time he goes through it, everything else is raw audio on that one. VHS has the raw "High"s so a mix of the 2 would be 100% raw audio)
13 – WLR (DVD version has the overdubbed breakdown solo, VHS is raw. If you can get the Rock Band Multitracks it has the raw audio for everything except the overdubbed breakdown. I actually did my own mix of this for a 100% raw audio version)
14 – YSMANL (VHS is the right choice. The intro and solos are the only point you actually hear the raw guitar audio for both Mal and Angus)
15 – TNT (VHS has the original backing vocals for the Oi's)
16 – LTBR (DVD audio is actually 100% raw audio for all sources, so would have been the better choice, minus they cut out just a bit of the breakdown before Angus gets up on the riser)
17 – HTH (DVD audio is again 100% raw audio, so would have been the better choice)
18 – FTATR (DVD audio is again 100% raw audio. They should have doctored up the Cannon shots to be beefier. Like in the Rock Band Multitracks or on No Bull)
I really don't know why they couldn't just do the whole show with the Raw audio. Even at the worst and the mess ups, it's fantastic. I pray that one day in the future someone can dig through the vaults and give us the complete just raw audio of this show like it should be.
Chris Slade is a demon on those drums !!
Cris Lade, what a smooth rhythm, fabulous!
The best version of Thunderstruck ever recorded; Period- During that concert ACDC's sound was at its peak. Still remember that day back in 1992 when I bought the double CD (still have it). Saw them in concert a few years later for the Ballbreaker tour. My life was never the same afterwards lol
So much better without the overdubs.. AcDc unfortunately fixed their mistakes in the recordings.. Happy you found the original audio for this. Never heard it sound so raw and good! I had the double album CD. it was doctored, right?
They gave it their all didn't they. And it was like that every show.
This is my absolute favourite AC/DC live show. It's a really big crowd getting right into the music. The sound is fantastic quality (I've played the other concerts and this one really stands out) and Angus is still young enough to run all over the place but has enough experience to put on a perfect performance. And Brian's voice is sounding fantastic, and he is running all over the place as well. Add in the props like Hells Bell and the cannons, and you have the perfect rock concert…. long live AC/DC.
what, no FOOT PEDALS ?!!!
no in ear monitors
Munich 2003 la primera vez que los vi y desde esa primera vez los he visto por toda europa muchas veces asi que puedo decir que soy un privilegiado ❤❤.
A mis 50 años y fan de este grupo desde sus comienzos cada dia me gustan mas.
I remember 1991 – AC/DC came to Vancouver in January & June so I just had to see this concert twice…. I know “it’s always the same concert” as some say, but you never disappointed!
This is why in 100 years from now they’ll be able to say the people back then fucking rocked🤘🏻😜😎
As what mal and Angus would say the band was really cooking that night .
What happens to the sound at 1:05:07
It’s almost like Cliffs bass gets turned up or something?!
Is this the pinnacle of Western civilization?
I LOVE AC/DC
THE BAND IS INTO MY SOUL
I saw ACDC at Sarstock and there were 500, 000 of us there. They tore the place down. Amazing show that night. Donnington looked like a great time also.

I been a fan since 1980 I seen ACDC in 1986 and 1996 they are so good in concert you don't want it to end. I remember my ears were ringing for days. I went to alot of concerts in the 80s ACDC was the best.
THE GREATEST
Con respeto a Bon Scott, la mejor versión.
🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘❤❤❤❤❤
This is the best AC/DC footage ever !!!!! Rock on!!!
Just got my ticket to see them at Murrayfield Edinburgh 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Aussie❤
Every time I hear them I drink a bottle of whiskey and smoke 2 cigars. I leave the earth for 2 hours and come back in the morning .its one of those times when you say- why shouldn’t I be 20 years older to catch this live. I born in 1994. Fuck me
Don't be fooled. Just know and accept that AC/DC is the greatest Scottish Band of all time!
Anyone in 2025 still listening?
