ALICE IN CHAINS Cancels All Upcoming Shows Due To Drummer’s Health Concerns

ALICE IN CHAINS has officially canceled all of their upcoming performances for May following ongoing health issues involving drummer Sean Kinney. The band had initially called off their May 8 show at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, after Kinney experienced what was described as “a non-life-threatening medical emergency.” However, the situation has since escalated, prompting the band to make the difficult decision to withdraw from the remainder of their scheduled shows this month.

In a statement released by the band, they wrote: “After careful consideration and following the advice of medical professionals, we have made the decision to cancel our upcoming festival performances and the ALICE IN CHAINS headline shows.

“While we were all eager to return to the stage, Sean’s health is our top priority at this moment. Although the issue requires immediate attention, his long-term prognosis is positive. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support during this time.”

As of now, there’s no official word on whether this will impact the band’s scheduled appearance at the BLACK SABBATH show in July.

While this is undoubtedly disappointing news for fans, the priority remains Sean Kinney’s health and recovery. Here’s hoping for a smooth and speedy recovery, and that ALICE IN CHAINS will be back on stage before long.
