My favorite band but at this point they are going through the motions and their LP sucked. I can definitely see how Van Halen blew them away on this tour. Still my favorite band…

The all time perfect four piece band. Something special happens when ALL FOUR of these guys play together. There will never be anything like it again!

I was a Sabbath FREAK from the day they put out their debut album and saw them 3 times from '71 to '74. The first show in Manhattan, Capitol Theatre was the 'Masters of Reality' tour. After that show it was reported that Ozzy had the flu. It sounded like it. They sounded ok but nothing special, it was their albums note for note and 'Thank you, good night'.
I was not impressed. The next I saw them was during the 'IV' and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath tours, Humble Pie and Skynyrd opening acts. I wasn't much impressed by those either, but THIS ? DAYUM, this KICKS ASS !!
I'm OLD now but watching this has me in full air guitar, air drumming and Ozzy mode, non stop, like the Little Rascals granny in roller skates, lol !! I WISH I had been at this show !! I'm trying to figure out what the difference could be though.
The only thing I can think of is the sound quality.

AWESOME. I need this DVD. To bad there wasn't more close ups of Wards drumming on Warpigs. ✌

Snowbound. A song fitting for the 80s for sure. 😂

Tony Iommi is GOOD but I feel like this lineup as a band was so perfect, listen to every member doing their part proper and with perfect execution, and Tony’s ego tore them apart and ruined an amazing dynamic.

Never will know why people slam this era of Sab. Sure they had their internal problems but man at this point the band was a well oiled machine. Bill is killing the skins like it owes him something. Geezer rock solid as always great bass sound you can hear the thunder and of course the god center stage Iommi. That clown to the left was clearly the weak link of the band by this point. A change clearly needed. Iommi was right , so thankful Iommi/Dio joined forces. 🤘

My satisfaction was having seen them 4 times with Ozzi and once with Dio, it was the best part of my youth.

Is this not the tour that Van Halen was opening for them and apparently "blowing them off the stage" every night. Hard to believe judging by this video. Sabbath was kicking arse and taking names here.

What is the date for this? I’m looking for the 11/12/1978 show from ABQ NM which was their ‘last’ show with Ozzy

The last tour of the original ‘70s lineup. Only 1 year later Ozzy would be fired. A few more years Ward would be in a sanitarium. And Iommi would get writers block from too much blow. I’ve been reading books on the group. Fascinating!!
