big sur moon is such an exceptional way to start the show. he is so technically talented but does not let that get in the way of putting feeling and emotion in his playing. the bucket gimmick serves to put his playing front and center which just makes it even more special. i didn't "get" this guy until i saw him live. what a special human.

When I saw him 15 years ago he made us wait hours to start in silence and then a 4 count metronome started and the only break between songs was the click track playing and after a 4 count the next track started. I'm assuming he replaced that with jowls

Ah the Bucket. Best Guitarist of all time. The man can play anything, really he can make a guitar do whatever he chooses, which is why he fucks around all the time. When you're that goddamn good theres no challenge in it any more and you just gotta fuck about until you end up creating the most beautiful guitar song ever in Soothsayer. The man is unstoppable.

Buckethead is so amazing. He's right up there with Satriani and Petrucci as incredible shredders that are just so melodically precise that really know how to craft an effective lead that has memorable qualities but simultaneously knocks you on your ass with its virtuosity.
This is by far… the most bad ass Buckethead concert I've come across yet. He has a lot of great ones that's up for debate, but he tears the roof off the house in this one…
