Weeks after they were supposed to embark on their first tour as a group that they ultimately had to cancel, heavy metal super group Category 7 recently announced the band’s live debut will finally take place in Los Angeles this June.
For the uninitiated, Category 7 is a supergroup that’s comprised of John Bush (Armored Saint, Anthrax), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob, Sonic Universe), Phil Demmel (Machine Head, Kerry King, Vio-Lence), Jack Gibson (Exodus), and Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, Overkill). Speaking of the tour, Demmel said he and the rest of the band were excited to head down to that part of the world.
With Evildead confirmed as the show’s supporting act, the show will take place at The Whisky A Go Go on June 20. Truth be told, it’s likely serving as a sort of dress rehearsal before Category 7 heads down to South America this summer.
Speaking of their coming plans, Demmel said he and the guys were excited to finally hit the stage as a unit.
“The stars have aligned and the initial C7 storm is about to hit Hollywood! To say we’ve been ready to get this rolling is an understatement. So, batten down those hatches, because Category 7 is coming to lay waste!!”
