It’s been a long time in the making, but Children Of Bodom is finally recounting their incredible career with a brand new named after themselves. The book will be published in August and features a recounting of the band through the eyes of guitarist Alexander Kuoppala, bassist Henkka Seppälä, drummer Jaska Raatikainen, and keyboardist Janne Wirman.
“Since we stopped making music and suffered the tragic loss of our brother Alexi, we’ve been remembering so many great times that we had together, and you can now read about those times in this book,” said the aforementioned quartet. “It tells the full history of Children Of Bodom in our own words.”
Children Of Bodom is available in two editions, both of which contain the same text but the Signature Edition has been personally signed by the Henkka, Janne, Jaska and Alexander. Pre-orders are available here.
Children Of Bodom broke up in 2019 after one final show on December 15, 2019 at the Black Box in Helsinki Ice Hall in Helsinki, Finland. That show was later released as the live album A Chapter Called… Children Of Bodom (Final Show In Helsinki Ice Hall 2019).
Children Of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho sadly died on December 29, 2020 from what Finnish newspapers reported as fatty liver disease and pancreatic fibrosis.
