DAVE DAVIDSON Discusses REVOCATION’s Upcoming Show At Metal Injection Festival

Date:

Davidson is gearing up for a jam-packed day at the approaching Metal Injection Festival. The band Pallid Veil, which includes members like Luc Lemay from Gorguts, Liam Wilson from The Dillinger Escape Plan and In Flames, and Elliot Hoffman of Carbomb, will make their debut with him. On top of that, Davidson will also be performing a set of Revocation songs.

“We’re hitting the stage on the same day, which adds another layer of excitement,” mentioned Davidson during a conversation with Metal Injection. “I’m looking forward to embracing this challenge. It’s going to require a lot of effort. I’ll be spending a significant amount of time practicing leading up to the festival. Hopefully, we’ll have all the Pallid Veil material ready by then.

“But even with Revocation, it won’t be a walk in the park. I’ll have to get back into the groove with my [Jackson] Warriors and ensure that my skills are on point.”

What can you expect from Revocation‘s performance? Davidson indicated that they will tweak their setlist slightly, but it will still heavily feature tracks from Netherheaven. “We’ve put together a solid setlist that we’ll probably adjust a bit for the festival,” he shared. “We’ll definitely be playing some tracks from Netherheaven as it’s a recent album.”

And yes, there’s new music from Revocation in the works amidst all of Davidson‘s other projects. “Throughout this summer, I’m wrapping up the Gargoyl album. Then I’ll dive into the Revocation album while simultaneously writing and rehearsing new material for Pallid Veil. It’s going to be a busy summer, but being occupied is rewarding, especially for a musician.”

The Metal Injection Festival will take place in New York at Brooklyn Monarch & Meadows on September 21 and 22. Secure your tickets here.
