Alright. So the Descendents haven’t really stopped doing cool shit since they first came on the scene. They’ve got another entry for their laundry list of all that goodness. The band, along with like 1,000 other artists, played a mega show in Hermosa Beach, CA for Punk Rock & Paintbrushes. The setlist included mad Descendents songs obviously, and quite a few Black Flag songs.
No matter how much I try to describe it, words won’t do it as much justice as all of these fuckin bomb ass photos taken by Alan Snodgrass. He compiled a total of 20 that encapsulated the energy of that night. You can find his carousel gallery post on his Instagram, and it will not disappoint. Plus, he captured former Slipknot and current Suicidal Tendencies drummer Jay Weinberg hitting the shit out of those drums during the cover of “My War” by Black Flag.
Some of the other guest performers included Dez Cadena (Black Flag, Misfits), Shane Told of Silverstein, Mike Herrera (Goldfinger, MxPx), and Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy, among several others.
You best check out Snodgrass’s photographic diary of the show, with the listing of the photos below.

Art management and show production company Punk Rock & Paintbrushes was formed by Emily Nielsen in 2014, meant to join the art of painting with the art of punk rock. A few months ago, one of the company’s art shows got destroyed by a hail storm in Denver, CO, fuckin up all the art presented. The Descendents said fuck all that noise and chose to head the company’s benefit to rebuild their space. For the love of the (art) game.
