Destruction is a German thrash metal band. They are considered one of the “three kings” of the Teutonic thrash metal scene, the others being Kreator and Sodom. All three of these bands are often credited with helping pioneer death metal, by containing several elements of what was to become the genre. Destruction were originally named Knight of Demon but changed their name in 1984.

Okay kids, if you wonder what pure thrash metal sounded like back in the day (I was there, 49yrs old now) your search has ended. Destruction is as good and pure a thrash band that has ever existed. This is fucking awesome.
I like this band, they have some great thrash tracks, and kick fucking ass.
This band is a legend, killer set live, and thrash metal raw, in your face and with bollocks!
