ELEINE, the Swedish symphonic metal band, has announced that drummer Jesper Sunnhagen and bassist Filip Stålberg are no longer with the group. Founding members Madeleine Liljestam and Rikard Ekberg stated that the dismissal was due to inappropriate behavior towards fans, a violation of their band member contracts.
The statement posted on ELEINE‘s social media said: “Dear ELEINE Legions,
“Unfortunately we must share that our drummer Jesper Sunnhagen, and our bass player Filip Stålberg, will have to leave the band. They have broken one of the most important parts of our band member contract by acting inappropriately towards our fans.
“Their departure will be immediate and will NOT affect our upcoming tours. There will be replacement musicians to stand in during the upcoming shows. Thank you for understanding that we put our fans first.”
ELEINE‘s latest studio album, We Shall Remain, was released in July 2023 through Atomic Fire Records.
