During the first day of The 80s Cruise, Kimberly Burch, fiancée of FASTER PUSSYCAT‘s Taime Downe, fell overboard from the Royal Caribbean ship Explorer Of The Seas. Her family is now demanding explanations from Downe. The cruise, which included performances by WARRANT, DOKKEN, and other 80s acts, saw a subsequent search and rescue operation.
Following Kimberly Burch‘s fall overboard around 11 p.m. on Monday, March 3rd, a multi-ship search operation was launched. According to her mother, Carnell Burch, Kimberly‘s death occurred after a heated argument with her fiancé, Taime Downe. While it remains unclear whether she jumped or fell, Carnell Burch told TMZ that Kimberly would not intentionally harm herself.
Kellie Burch, Kimberly‘s sister-in-law, reported to DailyMail.com that the family has received no communication from Downe after he informed Kimberly‘s mother of her death on Monday.
“We haven’t spoken to him,” Kellie said. “He called my mother-in-law to notify her, but she hasn’t had any contact with him since then. None of us have.”
“We just want to know what happened,” Kellie added. “We just want answers… All we want is answers. We’ve had absolutely zero contact with the cruise company. We’ve emailed, we’ve called, and nobody has gotten back to us.”
On Tuesday (March 3) morning, Kimberly‘s family announced her death via a Facebook statement: “It is with broken hearts that we share the sad news that Kimberly Burch has passed away. She was a beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. We ask for prayers during this time for our family as we try to wrap our minds around this heartbreaking tragedy. We love and miss you Kimberly Burch!!”
