Frank Ferrer, the longtime drummer for GUNS N’ ROSES, has officially spoken out for the first time since his departure from the legendary rock band.
On Thursday, March 20, Frank shared the following statement on his Instagram: “The outpouring of love I have felt from the incredible fans of GUNS N’ ROSES and my peers over the past 24 hours has been tremendous.
“I will have immense gratitude and love always for Axl and the band while at the same time, disappointment that this chapter came to an end.
“It has been an incredible 19 years. GUNS N’ ROSES has given me life-changing memories and experiences.
“A huge thanks to management, the crew, and fans for giving me memories that I will cherish for my lifetime.
“I hope I see you all again soon!”
Joining GUNS N’ ROSES in June 2006, Frank Ferrer provided a steady rhythmic foundation for the band’s tours, notably during the recent reunion era with Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan. His tenure, the longest of any drummer in the band’s history, concluded with a show in Mexico on November 5, 2023.
Yesterday (March 20), GUNS N’ ROSES welcomed Isaac Carpenter as their new drummer. He’ll be joining them on their 2025 European, Asian, and Middle East tour, where they’ll headline stadiums and festivals throughout the spring and summer.
Carpenter, known for his work with AWOLNATION and Duff McKagan’s LOADED, has a strong background in rock music and a longstanding connection to the GNR family. He has also collaborated with artists such as THE EXIES, OURS, and BLACK LAB, making him a seasoned addition to the band’s lineup.
