Ever since they reunited back in 2022, New Jersey metalcore outfit God Forbid have been occasionally playing killer shows and reminding people why they were so good years ago. In recent months they’ve torn up the east coast and it’s looking like they’re turning their sights to the west, as they just announced a pair of California shows.
On December 12 and 13, God Forbid will play the Harlows in Sacramento and The Regent in Los Angeles, respectively. Skinlab and Thrown Into Exile will provide support on both shows, while the second show will also feature Exmortus and ex-Fear Factory frontman Burton C. Bell’s solo effort.
In a tweet earlier today, Doc Coyle spoke about the two gigs and how exciting it was for the band to be heading back out to Cali after 10 years away.
“We are very proud to announce 2 more additional shows to our upcoming run in California. Both headlining and we will be performing our Gone Forever album in its entirety.
“Joining us in LA will be the legendary Burton C Bell formerly of Fear Factory, our old Century Media label mates and Bay Area rippers SKINLAB “Official”, one of the most shredding and deadly Cali bands, Exmortus and our awesome buddies in Thrown Into Exile. Sac will feature Skinlab and Thrown Into Exile.
Dec 12th – Sacramento, CA at Harlows
Dec 13th – Los Angeles, CA at The Regent
“We have not played in Cali in over a decade, & we wanted to make sure you guys had an opportunity to hear the entire Gone Forever album (and a few extra). These will be special shows for the real GF fans.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. PST, so if you’re interested in coming out and supporting God Forbid, that will be your opportunity.
