Slash — the iconic top-hatted guitarist of GUNS N’ ROSES — has officially announced his departure from X (formerly known as Twitter).
Slash took to the platform one last time to let followers know he’s stepping away from the platform.
“I’d like to inform you that I’ve decided to step away from Twitter/X and will no longer be active on the platform,”
“This was a considered decision after repeated hacks, and it reflects a shift in how I’d like to stay connected moving forward.
“You can still find me on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook where I’ll be posting regular updates.”
GUNS N’ ROSES are set to launch a global tour this May, with rotating support acts including PUBLIC ENEMY, RIVAL SONS, and SEX PISTOLS featuring Frank Carter. Additionally, the band is confirmed to perform at BLACK SABBATH’s farewell show on July 5th in Birmingham, England.
Last month, GUNS N’ ROSES announced Isaac Carpenter as their new drummer, following the departure of longtime member Frank Ferrer. Carpenter, known for his work with AWOLNATION and Duff McKagan’s LOADED, has a strong background in rock music and a longstanding connection to the GNR family. He has also collaborated with artists such as THE EXIES, OURS, and BLACK LAB, making him a seasoned addition to the band’s lineup.
GUNS N’ ROSES boast a remarkable legacy. Their accolades include worldwide sales exceeding 100 million units, the record for the best-selling U.S. debut album (Appetite for Destruction), and the fourth-highest grossing tour in history (Not In This Lifetime… Tour)
