GUNS N’ ROSES, TOOL & RIVAL SONS Added To BLACK SABBATH’s Final Show

Black Sabbath‘s original lineup – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – will play their final show on July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. The show’s already insane lineup has now expanded to feature the following artists (it also looks like Duff McKagan dropped off the bill as a solo artist when you compare the old and new admats):

  • Guns N’ Roses
  • Tool
  • Rival Sons
  • Andrew Watt
  • Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
  • Dave Ellefson (ex-Megadeth)
  • Vernon Reid (Living Colour)
  • Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe)

It’s worth noting that Osbourne will not be playing the full set with Black Sabbath, but will instead only perform some songs due to his failing health. Black Sabbath‘s set will also be preceded by a final solo Osbourne set, which Sharon Osbourne has confirmed. In an interview with BBC, Sharon said “Ozzy didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there’s no been no full stop. This is his full stop.” In another interview with Reuters, Sharon echoed that same sentiment saying “For Ozzy right now, it’s definitely: ‘I love you and good night.'”

The show is especially bittersweet considering Osbourne has largely been sidelined from all live appearances due to ongoing medical issues. Osbourne played his last proper show in 2018, and made two appearances in 2022 at the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony and the NFL Kickoff.

The full lineup for Black Sabbath‘s final show (now with the aforementioned additions) is:

  • Black Sabbath
