This was my favorite song on this cassette.
I went through a few by constant rewinding!
Reminds me of Baptist college 😆

Funny thing if you were born between 1951=1980 in the US you are dumber from passively huffing leaded gas as a young child. It had nothing to do with "sex and drugs" and everything to do with greed. Heavy Metal Poisoning indeed!

I really wish I had seen them in concert during this tour. I had a chance but didn’t think I could get tickets, so I didn’t even try. I was so wrong! I regret that now!

In 1983 Styx followed in the footsteps of Twisted Sister.

How ironically accurate this depicts my childhood. Bible banging parents, pushing their agenda and telling me how EVIL rock and roll music was. Grew up in the 80's and missed a lot of the greatest music ever written due to them. I'm just glad that I'm able to go back and hear it all again and know, it's NOT EVIL!!! One more thing, how can there be VH1 logos on this video?? This was MTV!!!!

Even ten years after the Kinks ill-fated "Preservation" records, the world was still not ready for the combination of rock n roll and theater.

This album gets a lot of hate. This is the one that hooked me on Styx, then I had to backtrack to find their other treasures😉

The crazy concept and theatrics really remind me of Queen. I could totally see Freddie Mercury performing this.

I love how the bad guy hams it up. In that sense, this album's like a Disney movie: the villain gets the best song.

I think Dennis's idea was solid, and this song represents that. Maybe the whole thing was a tad overboard, but it came out at a time when that anti-rock clan was in the news constantly, so it was prevalent

Nearly a decade later Tommy Shaw went "metal" by forming Damn Yankees…….. Haha.

I love this. I'm sure it's a dig at the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC). Here is a link to what the PMRC was, for those who don't know: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parents_Music_Resource_Center. I'm hoping someone went after rap just as hard, lol!!

I can't be the only one who noticed that at 4:23/24 on the bottom right side of the screen a woman gets accidentally punched in the back of the head…hahahaha i just saw this video for the 1st time on mtv classic and had to do 6 replays of the punch

Maybe its because these fucks like Dr. Righteous have crawled back out the woodwork, but as I got older, this song grew into my fav Styx song.

1:32 The 3 notes 🎶 (pow pow pow) are an homage to the same 3 notes (and from JY to himself) from You Need Love from Styx II。

JY was fine with the concept here.
