The Ian Gillan Band were the first recording solo project formed by singer Ian Gillan after leaving British super group Deep Purple in July 1973 at the height of their success. It’s with Deep Purple that Ian made is name, playing a very British hard rock and developing his now trademark screams, but Ian’s career goes back several years.

The late John Gustaffson on bass.
Tremendo!!!
His band were talented there was no question about that….
Is it just me or is the drummer really really good??!! I love his playing style!
Ray Fenwick looked like his namesake Ray "Gilbert" O'Sullivan! Great guitarist, but I keep expecting him to play piano. 🙂
Awesome great guitarist. Got to see who that guy is.
Oh geez the audience is my age. 😣
yuck
I love Clear Air Turbulence album

I don't like Gillan's music in this period of time.
I Love this funky Smoke on the Walter with some Country Music inserts… I own the IGB live LP since 40 years.
Amazing version of Child in Time!!!
And these was the last years which Gillan used this voice texture of the early years, he started to change his vocal technique using lass driving and singing a little cleaner cause it become certainly agressive with the passing years… He had many difficulties during the 80's but reaching his best version in the 90's, Gillan was perfect at this decade.
Why’d they edit the track Clear Air Turbulence? That extended solo is the highlight of the track!
The biggest Gillan mistake was to put an end to this amazing band.
My absolute favourite IGB song is "Let it slide" of their first album called "Child in time", a real masterpiece! Especially Nauseefs drumming and Fenwicks guitar. 👌👍 Listen with headphones to get all the soft tones!
The Ian Gillan Band was a superb band!
Oh Ian
GOSH! DANG! HOLY COW!
I STILL LOVE IT 💙🎵❣
I mean—-
I keep comin' back for more! The musicians in his band are top notch & Gillan, well, enough said… ok, not enough said, lol
AMAZING, RAW & UNIQUE TALENT!!! LOVE IAN 💕 A BEAUTIFUL SOUL & MAN!
i love ian…smoke on the water sounds a bit bizarre
listen to future shock album
Jaki ful concert 32 min to graja jakies kapele suport koncert trwa ok 2 godziny mmmmmy!
That drummer rocked that whole kit!.
I remember reading about the Ian Gillan band in Hit Parader in the seventies, and being a Deep Purple fan I looked everywhere for albums by them but with no luck finding any.
No wonder he wanted to get Deep Purple back together.
Ian Girlan is the MAN
Ian, it was pefect!👌👍🏻
0:01 name song??
That is the course that hard music should have taken, not the supposedly macho-heavy metal kind of thing.
jazz e rock juntos!
I'm sorry, but trying to turn Smoke On The Water into some jazz fushion thing just doesn't work, it sounds terrible in this arrangment.
The great John Gustafson on Bass. A killer singer too. Check out Simon Zealotes on Jesus Christ Superstar which Gillan is the lead role.😊
In April 1977 I have seen the Ian Gillan Band along with Black Sabbath, AC-DC and The doctors of madness at the "Easter Rock Festival in Offenbach/Germany – unforgettable
Full set. No. Yet another misleading yoituber
On the rock ❤👍❤
He still has brilliance in his voice here. Sadly, he wasted these years without good material until he had a voice change.
Is that Earl Slick on guitar, oh Ray Fenwick fantastic player. Great.
