"I was on a soccer team called the darth vaders"
all inspired from Burzum!!!
In minds of black metalheads vision is black and white everything is black and white

Man I want a tattoo made by him too original leviathan that would be fucken sick
The best of kansas
Keep on cutting,kooks!😘
As an…I guess, lower middle class South American, I lived in the US all my teens (went there when I was 13 and already listened to some metal) and for some reason a LOT of metalheads I've met had weird lives or got into metal BECAUSE of troubles in their youth, mental illness, etc. Specially those into extreme metal, I was more into the "honesty" of the music and the freedom, talking about religion, philosophy, death and suicide, science, spritualism, mythology, etc etc etc. And also the musicianship, the more extreme, a lot of the time, the more musical and I loved the challenge of music that by outsiders would be seen as "noise" or "too extreme" when it was in fact, at least as popular music goes, a lot of the time extremely intelligent music (sure, there's idiots too).
When I've met other latin american and european metalheads, this wasn't so much the case. Crazy people some sure, but not that many with really heavy stories of growing up. To me it felt like US society specially pushes a lot of people towards the edge, hyper capitalism, all the "rules and laws" and all the social and ethnic discrimination among other things, the dark side of the American Dream I guess. The heavily medicated aspects of the society too.
Creative minds are unstable, because they see the world for what it truly is.
Most people conform and settle with it.
Those that look deeper take those parts with them.
12:22 anyone know what song this is?
That bald woman that does Xasthur is a bit pretentious, don't you think? She needs to be less self absorbed, especially when the music she creates is marginal at best!
Scott Connor in public looks like he's about to bust out a freestyle rap
Jef is a legend, I’m rewatching this for the first time in years & I forgot that he used to skate. Hopefully he still does it
Scott has crippling depression and social anxiety. I feel bad for the guy, but xasthur is great.
Wrest went to high school with tommy guerrero… incredible

I didn't like that zoom at the end. It's none of anyone's business that he has done self harm.
love to see a 10 year on follow up , but still showing that can thro down and record an album on your own
8:32 sinetgubg jumps out of water
The dude that cut to his arms all the time is a fucking idiot
13:35 “human beings are arrogant with nothing to be arrogant about.”
Hits the nail on the head
9:05 Anybody know what song this is?
None of these guys ever seem like they have ever been happy no wonder they made “music” in genre called ‘depressive suicidal black metal’ I would rub happiness in these losers faces, they are the social outcasts of society
Need Bob Macabre for this film!
I suggest another chapter feat. Wintherr (Paysage d'Hiver,Darkspace).
Jeff has genuinely had such an insane life. Famous seemingly multiple times in completely different worlds.
Everyone is so scared of xasthur cus he’s weird man nah. This is what a true artist looks like. Doesn’t matter if anyone heard the music or not. He’s true to being weird and creating from it
Losers
Straight up losers
9:07 Whats the Song?????
Music is therapy all I have to say beautiful souls in there … jems❤❤
can anyone identify the band shirts Striborg is wearing?
Still cant believe Thunder did him like that. I understand lawfully speaking they are in the clear, but they definitly knew what they were doing. Loved their trucks and thought the logo was sick. Havent bought Thunders since i saw this 11 years ago, they did our boy Wrest super dirty.
Aaaaand then there’s Russ lmao
i wish they talked about russells death metal side band cromlech.

Dude the fact that they could even put ideas together despite all the technological hoops is commendable. Very interesting doc
