Saw Kansas 7 times in their classic lineup era 1976-1980 with Steve, Kerry, Robbie and rev. Dave Hope. They sound real good here with this lineup. I miss Kerry's guitar input. They were a really great classical/progressive rock band that could rock hard when they needed it in the classic years with 2 guitarists. Still sounding pretty damn good for a bunch of old men. As good as they still are, no one can compare to Steve Walsh in his prime singing Cheyenne Anthem or The Wall or Journey from Mariabron or Icarus, or Carry On, or……I could go on.
What happened to “dust in the wind” sound, seems like they purposely muted the whole song. 🤦
Can anyone tell me why in Australia there is no audio on Dust in the Wind? Seems very strange!
Talk about Miracles Out of Nowhere! Starting with the Monolith tour and the original line up, I have seen Kansas five times, including most recently from this tour in Oct 2023 and it reminded me of all of the joyous fun of a 1970s concert. Hoping for a live version of this tour, you reached The Pinnacle with this posting. Thank you!
Loved Kansas saw them over 20 times I've got 17 ticket tickets… somehow lost a few ..but Kansas was over when Steve Walsh left, they were really over after Audio Visions… the Masque and Leftoverture Tours were the best…
This is a cover band, stop it Phil.
Did they do Dust in the Wind?
Awesome.
It was a superb concert last Saturday night in Tysons Corner, VA. I enjoyed hearing "A Glimpse of Home," a terrific track from the Monolith album. The concert ended with a trio of Leftoverture songs: "The Wall," "Miracles Out of Nowhere," and, of course, "Carry on Wayward Son." Well done.

It's more a Kansda cover band not one of tthe founders is still in the band. However not bad
PONGAN A UN CANTANTE COMO LA GENTE …NO A ESTE PERRO QUE NO LLEGA A LAS NOTAS Y DESHONRA EL LEGADO DE STEVE WALSH…..DEJEN DE ROBARRRRR
That setlist tho…these guys do Kansas proud!
Does anyone know why there was no drums on some songs in the middle there?
It's very hard to duplicate Steve Walsh's golden voice, but damn, this dude does it well!
50 + years later, and they still sound great live!
A very long story . . as short as I can make it. I started watching this video . . immediately I said, " Hey . . . that's not Phil." I read comments and didn't realize he was recovering from injury, but played from 1:15 on. I started on piano 2nd grade . . . was very good at it ( still am ) . . but moved to percussion ( drums ) in 7th grade . . . 1975. ( I was a natural . . it was "easy". ) Then came Kansas . . . and Phil. ( in all fairness . . . let's add Neil, Bonham & Co. ) Phil has been my drumming mentor since high school . . . still is . . . and he's 73 ! ( if you are a drummer . . . watch his rudiments ! ) The intricacy and precision of their music grabs me . . . always did. I'm an engineer in real life . . . but played in bar / cover bands until about 10 years ago. ( I'm 63. ) I went to see Kansas in Youngstown, OH 2 years ago. Outstanding ! You Go Phil ! Looking forward to Pittsburgh in December !
Hoping and praying that Phil recovers completely
I grew up on Two for the Show double Live album. Mysteries and Mayhem and Icarus. So amazing to hear these incredible compositions after all these years. They just don't make them like this anymore. Amazing compositions, amazing musicians!!!
Still able to play those beautiful, complicated songs after all these years.. all those guys are in their 70s. Thank you Kansas for inspiring me , and for all the great music.. there will never be another band like you guys..
Grazie per la condivisione ! Ascolto i Kansas da 30 anni e non ho mai avuto l'occasione di vederli dal vivo. Loro sono veramente unici.
Why is it muted?
Violin is very detuned sounding
There's nobody in this band that isn't fine tuned and a excellent musician. Even though not the original band mates except rich they still hold up to the trademark that's kansas. But i do miss all the original members.
Why is Dust in the Wind muted? 😢
Seriously, dust in the Wind was blocked? WTF????
America's prog kings – saw them in 2018, superb! And yet to be annointed by the Rock Hall, for shame!
Brilliant .. !! voice&music.. !!
The sheer genius of this music is truly mind boggling. It is no small task to replicate the mastery of the original Kansas sextet. But here we are 50 odd years later, listening to it with all of the power and dexterity that wasn present in decades past. Kansas is STILL a band!
