KERRY KING’s Inaugural Solo Record Is The Most Impressive Undertaking He’s Completed Thus Far (As Per His Acquaintances)

Date:

Kerry King introduced his personal band earlier this year with the inaugural album From Hell I Rise. The reception for the album has been positive overall, with our own reviewer stating: “While it’s not exactly a Slayer production, and From Hell I Rise doesn’t quite reach the same level as the iconic 80’s catalog, this is probably the closest we’ll come to new music reminiscing Slayer.”

In the grand scheme of things, if King is content with the album, that is ultimately what truly matters. And it’s evident that those around him feel the same way! In the latest segment of the From Hell I Rise interview series, King mentioned that his friends and colleagues in the media view the album as his most remarkable work to date.

“I’ve been hearing not just from friends, journalists, people I’ve had discussions with, that they regard this album more highly as a whole than any individual production I’ve been involved in throughout my career,” King remarked. “It’s difficult for me to make that assessment, given my involvement in all those projects. However, close friends are genuinely excited about this album and wouldn’t just be saying flattering things. These are journalists I’ve known for a long time, not merely acquaintances; they are my friends whom I haven’t been able to meet due to the pandemic.”

“And now the excitement is building up. I will be able to meet all my journalist friends once again. There’s a lot of buzz surrounding this album. Everyone who has commented on it has heard the entire record, obviously, as they are discussing it in their interviews, so their acclaim is backed up by substance. People are evidently thrilled about this album. I personally have a strong liking for this album and also for Repentless. However, I believe the overall performance of everyone involved is superior on this one.”
