I have a penchant for showcasing the bizarre whenever possible. When I received an email about a band fusing black metal with surf rock, my interest was piqued. The blend is both chilling and summery. You’ll feel like hanging loose while headbanging amidst a forest of palm trees. A truly entertaining record.

Sum 41, on their claimed final release, is bidding farewell with a double-album. The first disc represents their melodious punk side (Heaven), while the second disc showcases their harder rock and heavy metal side (Hell). Despite being all new material, it gives the impression of a retrospective of their career. If this farewell indeed marks the end, it would be a remarkable goodbye.
