It’s undeniable that 2025 was a monumental year for metal music. Metal bands made appearances on late-night TV shows, walked the red carpet, broke records, and pushed boundaries they never thought possible. And the numbers are staggering – with nearly 100 million listeners, fans spent over 185 million hours streaming Metallica‘s music.
As expected, the band’s most popular songs continue to dominate their top-played chart. “Enter Sandman” is closing in on 2 billion streams, while “Master Of Puppets” and “Nothing Else Matters” each have over a billion streams. It’s clear that Metallica‘s dedicated fan base remains loyal to their iconic discography.
In a post on X, the band’s official account expressed their gratitude to their fans:
“You guys continue to outdo yourselves every year! Over 21 THOUSAND YEARS worth of our music was streamed on @Spotify in 2025. Sincere thanks to the #MetallicaFamily, who listened all year, joined us on the #M72 World Tour, & supported us from every corner of the globe. We can’t wait to see you on the road!”
Metallica is set to embark on a European tour next summer, with a slew of dates already announced. As always, the band is offering a range of luxurious tour packages with varying price points. These experiences include everything from meet-and-greets and production tours to access to the exclusive Black Box Lounge. The band describes these experiences as follows:
“Enhanced Experiences [range] from access to a meet-and-greet, production and stage tour, and food and beverage in the Black Box Lounge to early entry into the venue and the aforementioned Snake Pit. The ‘I Disappear Ticket’ is back and is the ultimate pass for the fan who wants to run away with us and attend every M72 2026 show in Europe!”
Tickets for both the No Repeat Weekend (2-day discounted bundles) and One Night Only shows will go on sale on Friday, May 30, at 10 AM local time. Fan Club presales will begin earlier, on Tuesday, May 27, at 9 AM local time, with additional presale windows throughout the week.
“No Repeat Weekend 2-Day discounted tickets and One Night Only show tickets will go on sale on Friday, 30 May, at 10 AM local time. There will also be various other presales beginning later that day and throughout the week (check out the complete list for details).”
For fans who can’t commit to a full No Repeat Weekend, single-day tickets will be available starting July 25, 2025, offering more flexibility.
“To request your Fan Club presale code, visit here. If you cannot join us for a full No Repeat Weekend, Single-Day tickets to those shows will be available starting 25 July 2025.”
In addition to the standard tickets, Metallica will also offer travel packages that include hotel accommodations and local transportation through their official travel platform.
The tour announcement also highlights the band’s commitment to giving back to their community. A portion of the proceeds from every ticket sold will go to local charities via the band’s foundation, All Within My Hands. Since its establishment in 2017, All Within My Hands has raised over $20 million, with $11.4 million going to career and technical education programs, $7.4 million to combat food insecurity, and $4.7 million to disaster relief efforts.
