Gracias por el aporte ! Increíble el concierto. Y es de la época dorada de Metallica, cuando acababan de fusionar el peso machacón del heavy metal con la rapidez del punk. Eran junto con Slayer, Megadeth y otros los creadores de una corriente nueva en el metal y a mí me hicieron regresar al género después de haber pasado unos años despegado de él por preferir las bandas de punk. Dios ! ese doble bombo como sonaba… !
Nunca pude verlos en directo en esa époc y siguen siendo una de mis bandas pendientes. Hoy suenan diferentes pero me da lo mismo. Cada músico sufre una evolución creativa y ellos tuvieron la suya. A mi como músico aficionado, me inspiraron mucho…

Ride the Lightning will always be my fave Kirk solo! Saw Cliff once in '86 opening for Ozzy. You can't overstate the impact he had.
Metallica are METALLICA! at the end of the day, but creeping death always was very sloppy live and yet it was used as an opener so much in the early days. 'Lightning' is a better tune in my opinion and one of Kirks best solos. Still Metallica killing it though.

When i was 16 in 1985 i had several of their albums most of my friends had no idea they d be astonished hearing these guys for the 1st time i had a friend in 7th grade had a poster of metallica on his wall 1980? I think anyway thats i learned about them been a fan ever since . Keep thrashing . Iam at 55
