I was informed about this being Momometals birthday show, so I have decided to look at more of it! 😁
I was going to have the Moametal version of Headbanger go up today but it was blocked worldwide due to copyright and the dispute was denied. So that will not be available to view. If I take it any further I will get a copyright strike and I do not have the time or money to fight a copyright battle with a scummy record company, not do I want to put my channel at risk over it. I will upload it to the Patreon as a free video so if anyone wants to view it, they can.

Taro is a suffix used in boys names meaning Great/First son. Many hero characters in Japanese folklore have names ending with Taro e.g. Momotaro, Kintaro and Urashimataro. Metataro is Babymetal's own creation, combining Metal and Taro to mean literally 'Great Metal Son' but understood in more nuanced context as 'Metal Hero'. While it wasn't created for any anime, the vibe does remind me of whole lot lot of Japanese cartoons made for small kids like Anpanman. The fact Momo appeared on the kids TV show , Shimajiro, probably adds to my personal joy as my kids watched it when they were little. IIRC I believe this is also Su-Metal's favourite song!

Nice reaction. They came up with this song because they wanted something their younger audience members could easily get into. Songs mostly about that baseball hero who stepped up and got the big hit for the team. And the fans go wild. The basic beat to this song is something just about everyone in Japan knows from going to baseball games. For those who don't know baseball is a big thing in Japan. And they have their own cheers there. Shows how Babymetal really do think about all of their fans. Even while doing this they mixed in different styles of music. Plus they made easy choreography for those new and young fans to move to. Babymetal the foxhole is deep and full of surprises

Great reaction. This was Su-metal's favourite song from the second album – she thought he choreo was simple and everybody could join in with them. She overestimates most of us, we can just about follow along with the saluting.🙋🙋♂🙋♀
She does seem to like a bit of folk metal it seems, 'Oh! Majinai' was her favourite song from the third album.
Legend MM was Momometal's birthday party so she got the whole of the first verse to herself (and some growls) where in the past those first lines were shared between Yui and Moa.

Really thoughtful reaction to an unusual but totally enjoyable homage to japanese hero culture. When I hear this I'm reminded of Ultraman which I watched as a kid.
