“No Two METAL ALLEGIANCE Shows Or Lineups Are Ever The Same”

Metal Allegiance is a supergroup featuring its “Core 4” members: David Ellefson [bass], Mark Menghi [bass], Alex Skolnick [guitar], and Mike Portnoy [drums]. Together, they have forged a musical brotherhood that transcends them as individuals and unites them in their shared passion for metal’s thunderous, uncompromising spirit.

With two critically acclaimed albums under their belts, Metal Allegiance is bringing their all-star team of guest vocalists and musicians to Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, on September 6th, 2024. Additional musicians include but are not limited to John Bush [vocals], Dave Davidson [guitar], Doc Coyle [guitar], and Troy Sanders [bass/vocals]. This is the group’s first and only East Coast show in six years!

As with their previous performances, fans can expect a setlist that balances the group’s original metal anthems with very select cover songs paying homage to the titans of the genre. From the primal, pummeling riffs to the soaring, virtuosic solos, Metal Allegiance‘s live shows are a true celebration of metal’s most revered traditions, fueled by the camaraderie and musical kinship of some of the scene’s most legendary figures. It promises to be an unforgettable night of thunderous, fist-pumping metal for fans.

Correspondent Robert Cavuoto sat down with Skolnick, guitarist for Testament and founding member of Metal Allegiance, to discuss what fans can expect at the Starland Ballroom show, the gear he will bring to the show, and how the band will have an intense all-day rehearsal to work out all the nuances.
