OLD MAN’S CHILD Begins Live Rehearsals, Confirms The Return Of Classic Drummer

Old Man’s Child – the project headed up by now ex-Dimmu Borgir guitarist Galder – is set to play their first shows since 2000 starting this June across Europe and the United States. While we wait for new music and announcements of who’s in the band, we do have one new piece of information! Old Man’s Child will be rejoined by drummer Tjodalv, who was in the band for the majority of their existence.

“First OMC rehearsals in years! Feels good! I know some people are curious about who is playing what etc. so a little update,” wrote Galder. “Since we haven’t been on stage for 26 years(!) we have to make the best of it. Flying people in from across the world etc is simply not an option at this time, so I will work with local people I know and/or have worked with before.

“I will also most likely bring in some vocal help (Born of the Flickering style) but will still do some vocals my self so I can focus on doing my thing on stage. This is not to be mixed up with OMC studio recordings as that is a different matter. Going to be careful about announcing any musicians names here as this may change. However I can confirm that Tjodalv will be returning and playing the drums this summer. Cheers and have a nice weekend.”

Old Man’s Child‘s live shows for 2025 thus far include:

6/4-7 Solvesborg, SWE Sweden Rock
6/25-28 Oslo, NOR Tons Of Rock
7//25-27 Cut Bank, MT Fire In The Mountains
8/8-9 Helsinki, FIN Hellsinki Metal Fest
8/29-31 Volos, GRE Golden R. Festival
11/22 Zurich, SWI Dynamo
