Date:

Ryan Adams is currently streaming his own rendition of Corrosion Of Conformity‘s 1994 hit “Clean My Wounds,” and the performance is exquisite. The cover was delivered on June 21 at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh, NC, and you can witness its slowed-down magnificence below.

Even better, Corrosion Of Conformity frontman Pepper Keenan gave his stamp of approval to the cover! Both Keenan and Adams shared their thoughts on the cover with Blabbermouth.Adams expressed: “Some individuals have sports teams they support for life, through thick or thin. For me, that’s C.O.C. In memory of Pepper‘s father’s passing, I performed ‘Clean My Wounds’ in NOLA and the Carolinas. They hold significant meaning for me. Most C.O.C. fans feel the same way. C.O.C. will always be my team, and I’ll represent them indefinitely.”

Keenan remarked: “I’ve admired both the music and talent of Ryan for a long time. C.O.C. and Ryan honed their skills in the same region in the Old North State as young individuals. I view Ryan as one of the finest singer/songwriters out there. I recognized it back then and still do. Hearing him interpret one of our songs in such a beautiful and haunting manner, and dedicating it to my father, was incredibly moving. It completely captivated me. It holds a lot of significance on various levels and in terms of emotions. Thank you for that, brother. Love and respect always.”
