ROCK BAND STÖNER, FORMERLY FROM KYUSS, Honors KYUSS By Performing “Green Machine” Covered Version

Date:

Stöner, made up of Brant Bjork (formerly of Kyuss, ex-Fu Manchu), Nick Oliveri (ex-Mondo Generator, former Kyuss, formerly of Queens of the Stone Age), and Ryan Güt (previously with Brant Björk), is commemorating their rich music collection and an extensive series of performances with an upcoming live album titled Hittin’ The Bitchin’ Switch, set for release on October 11.

Hittin’ The Bitchin’ Switch was captured live at Altroquando in Treviso, Italy by Matteo Pillon and was handled in terms of engineering, mixing, and mastering by Tommaso Mantelli and Max Ear at Lesder Studio. Besides featuring Stöner‘s original creations, Hittin’ The Bitchin’ Switch includes Kyuss classics such as “Gardenia” and “Green Machine,” in addition to the band’s interpretation of “R.A.M.O.N.E.S.” by Motörhead.

It’s only fitting for musicians formerly from Kyuss to pay tribute to their old band like this. The cover is exceptional and aligns perfectly with the edgy punk vibe that Stöner has been known for during their relatively short existence, where “Green Machine” exudes that same intense energy.

The list of tracks on Hittin’ The Bitchin’ Switch includes:

  1. “A Million Beers”
  2. “Party March”
  3. “The Older Kids”
  4. “Rad Stays Rad”
  5. “Evel Never Dies”
  6. “Night Tripper vs No Brainer”
  7. “Stand Down”
  8. “Own Yer Blues”
  9. “It Ain’t Free”
  10. “R.A.M.O.N.E.S. (Motörhead cover)”
  11. “Tribe – Fly Girl”
  12. “Strawberry Creek”
  13. “Nothin'”
  14. “Gardenia (Kyuss cover)”
