SHARON OSBOURNE Open To The Idea Of A BLACK SABBATH Hologram Concert

Looking ahead after BLACK SABBATH‘s final performance at Villa Park on July 5th, 2025, Sharon Osbourne has expressed her openness to the possibility of a future hologram show for the band, similar to ABBA‘s successful project.

This idea was raised in a recent Metal Hammer interview, considering ways for Ozzy Osbourne and BLACK SABBATH to continue their legacy after their “Back to the Beginning” concert near their origins.

“Sure, I would, yeah,” Sharon said. “Technology keeps moving on and on. You can do incredible things now, so what you could do in five years will be even better. You never know what the opportunities are.”

Sharon also commented on the return of Bill Ward to the stage with BLACK SABBATH, 13 years after a bitter contract dispute led to his exit from their reunion.

“Bill has always been fantastic with Ozzy,” she revealed. “I always say they’ve got that invisible connection between the four of them, and he’s gonna be there, which is amazing.

“I’m not going to bulls**t you and say we’re the best of friends. We’re not. We are such different people. But I respect Bill so much, and I’m so happy that he has agreed to come, for the band and for the fans.”

When the reunion of SABBATH was first announced over a decade ago, Bill Ward was initially on board but withdrew shortly after. The drummer claimed that he didn’t participate in the recording and touring sessions due to unfair contractual terms.

However, the band members have hinted in other interviews that he may not have been physically capable. Although all four original members were present when the reunion was announced in 2011, Ward left the group in 2012, citing an “unsignable” contract. Despite this, Ozzy OsbourneTony Iommi, and Butler continued with their 13 LP and extensive international touring, produced by Rick Rubin, without him.

BLACK SABBATH and Ozzy Osbourne‘s final show, scheduled for July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, is shaping up to be a historic event. Dubbed “Back To The Beginning,” this concert will mark the culmination of the band’s groundbreaking career and a celebration of their enduring legacy.

The event will also feature performances by METALLICASLAYERPANTERAGUNS N’ ROSESTOOLGOJIRAALICE IN CHAINSHALESTORMLAMB OF GODANTHRAX, and MASTODON.

Ozzy Osbourne, who has postponed his “No More Tours 2” shows several times due to illness, the pandemic, and logistical issues, and who paused touring in 2023 after spinal surgery, will perform his last concert ever at Villa Park, according to Sharon.

Ozzy didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there’s no been no full stop,” she said. “This is his full stop.”

“It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning, time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” Ozzy said in a statement. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love.

The proceeds from the event will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, a hospice for children supported by Aston Villa.
