SHAVING THE WEREWOLF Presents Dystopian Music Visuals For Track "Sentient Husk"

Date:

Illustrating a music video for the single “Sentient Husk,” Shaving The Werewolf from Norway presents a captivating animated visual experience. The fusion of noise rock and mathcore in the band’s music complements the dystopian atmosphere portrayed in the video.

“In this visual rendition, a futuristic residential complex is depicted in a state of chaos. The inhabitants endure severe distress due to hostile living conditions, worsening pollution, extreme economic disparities, and totalitarian rule by an individual driven by a godlike complex,” remarked vocalist Ottar concerning the video.

Discussing the coping mechanisms adopted by the residents to survive in this grim reality, Ottar elaborates, “To combat the harsh living environment, individuals turn to chemical remedies to alleviate their sufferings. These remedies tackle issues such as depression, social alienation, existential despair, and a sense of meaninglessness. The authoritative figure at the helm is content to supply these remedies as long as he is shielded from the residents’ struggles.”

The band’s latest offering, the God Whisperer EP, received the meticulous touch of Jørgen Øiseth Berg for engineering, mixing, and mastering, while the artwork was skillfully crafted by Martin Mentzoni. The EP was released on March 22nd, and can be explored further here.
