Good news for SYSTEM OF A DOWN fans! The band’s monumental album, Toxicity, is once again available to stream on Spotify. Yesterday, April 30th, the 2001 multi-platinum record, which boasts over eight million copies sold globally and stands as their best-selling work, vanished from the platform without any apparent reason. The band themselves have yet to address this sudden disappearance.
Interestingly, even while absent from Spotify, Toxicity remained accessible to listeners on other streaming services like Apple Music. However, as of today, May 1st, the mystery has seemingly resolved itself, with the iconic album reappearing on Spotify, ready for fans to enjoy once more.
In the meantime, SYSTEM OF A DOWN has launched their highly anticipated “Wake Up! South America” tour—their first run of South American shows since 2015. The nine-stop tour kicked off on April 24 in Bogotá, Colombia at Estadio Nemésio Camacho El Campín and will continue through Peru, Chile, and Argentina, before concluding with five performances in Brazil across Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.
SYSTEM OF A DOWN will also tour North America beginning with two nights at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on August 27-28, featuring special guests KORN. The tour will then move to Soldier Field in Chicago for shows on August 31 and September 1 with AVENGED SEVENFOLD, and conclude at Rogers Stadium in Toronto on September 3 and September 5 with DEFTONES.
