According to Metal Sludge, Ted Poley‘s drummer, Paul ‘Paulie’ del Boccio, collapsed on stage during the DANGER DANGER frontman’s performance aboard the Monsters of Rock Cruise on March 12.
A source who was side-stage at the show said: “I saw Ted trashing the drums, then I saw his face, and he looked terrified”, then the source added; “I then realized his drummer was laying flat… and then paramedics were trying to resuscitate him.”
Another source added: “We just heard an alpha massage for medical“, and shortly thereafter paramedics quickly started on him; “He got compressions on stage.”
A concertgoer named Mark, who attended the show, shared the following on Facebook: “We didn’t know exactly what was going on. Show ended, people were waiting for the group photo. Suddenly, parts of the drum kit were being thrown aside. Then everyone was “told” to get out. Looking back it looked like they were doing CPR, we thought he had fallen backwards. After getting out of the theater, and into another floor, we heard a ‘Alpha Emergency’ being broadcast, and crew running toward the stairs.”
The good news is that all of Metal Sludge‘s sources report Paulie was revived. It’s also been reported that he was being evaluated in the ship’s infirmary, but there are no further updates.
This is a developing story, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
