Kanye West has never been one to hold back his thoughts, and his latest remarks about the late Chester Bennington have sparked intense debate.
In a yesterday’s X post, Ye claimed that the LINKIN PARK frontman didn’t die by suicide but was instead “killed.”
He wrote: It’s time to go get my children from the situation everyone knows (sic) their in. They killed that boy from [LINKIN] LINCOLN PARK for this but I’m not letting my children be in this anymore. I will be dead before my kids be in Sierra Canyon in September.
Claims that Chester Bennington‘s 2017 death was a murder are unfounded. Despite online conspiracy theories, experts and official investigations confirmed his death was a suicide. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office ruled it suicide by hanging, with toxicology reports indicating only a small amount of alcohol in his system.
LINKIN PARK released their latest studio album, From Zero, this past November. This is LINKIN PARK‘s first studio album since One More Light (2017), marking the longest gap between studio releases in the band’s history. It also marks the debut of vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain, following the passing of vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017 and the departure of drummer Rob Bourdon in 2018.
